Originally from the Washington, DC area, I currently live outside of Chicago, where I work as a psychotherapist with a focus on adult individuals and couples at Mosaic Counseling in Glen Ellyn, IL. With a creative background in kids’ music, sketch and improv comedy, I’ve performed at comedy festivals and venues throughout the U.S. I have also played my original kids’ music at libraries and schools in Boston, Los Angeles, and around Chicago. Since 2018, I have performed weekly improv comedy shows with the ensemble, Rad Uncle, at Westside Improv in Wheaton, IL, while continuing to make children’s music. Over the past five years, I have discovered a passion for creating stories for kids with a focus on humor, social issues, challenging gender stereotypes and creating idiosyncratic, fleshed out, empowered characters. As an involved member of SCWBI, I continue to hone my craft and develop picture book and middle grade novel projects that will resonate with kids and families.
