Showcasing an indie and folk rock sensibility, the album features comedic songs about dinosaurs who perform stand-up comedy, the problems with wearing food, aliens who have come to earth to hang out in water parks, chess clubs, the coolness of hand-me-downs, and the magic of libraries. While drawing on science fiction themes throughout the album, Stuck on Mars also features comedic songs about the joyful diversity of city parks, going on trash walks, the fun of knowing random facts, gerbils who talk too much, problem dogs, and a cactus who helps you practice whatever you’re trying to get good at. Featuring two new original electronic pop tracks, Puppy Bounce! and Buccaneer Boogie, The Puppy Bounce! EP also re-imagines traditional kids songs, such as Mary Had a Little Lamb, The ABC Song, Happy Birthday and Old MacDonald Had a Farm, and creates new, dance-oriented versions with fresh hooks and driving beats.
